Times Marine Survey L.L.C. is a Consultancy Partnership located in Sharjah, UAE, with an established Global network in over 24 countries, and an in-house staff of Marine surveyors (Master Mariners and Marine Engineers), Naval Architects & Draughtsmen.
Typically, Times Marine carries out Vessel/Rig surveys, Inspections, Insurance damage investigation/assessment, Ship design and Rig conversion, Ship superintendency, Project management assistance, Ship and general engineering draughting, Vessel onhire/offhire surveys, Vessel condition survey and vetting appraisals. Times Marine also has experience with general inspections of Bulker, General Cargo & Heavy Lift Project cargo, Crude/Product & Bitumen carriers, as well as LPG/LNG carriers
Drill rig inspections and undertaking inclining experiments have been carried out in conjunction with ABS Class as have pre-refit audits of drill rigs and production of full specifications prior to docking (similar to MODU spec). Support of company ISO/ISM procedures and implementation for accreditation and SMC with Bureau Veritas.

Head hunted by the Managing Director to set up and lead a drydocking team within the engineering department which consisted of five DOT(1) Chief Engineers, Naval Architects and admin. staff. My responsibilities included but were not restricted to Pre-planning, executing and project management for afloat, drydocking and major modification to specific contract repairs for a fleet of over 90 Offshore Supply, Drill rig support, Tug, Drilling & Jack-up accommodation Barges. Planned Maintenance, inclusive of all Classification requirements for the full fleet over the five-year cycle. Carrying out onboard surveys by the Superintendents in my charge to formulate comprehensive repair specifications (fully costed, bidded with repair yards, and approved for action by the M.D.) Ensure all logistics are in place before the vessel/rig entered repair yard, project cost tracking to deliver the vessel/rig back to operation 'On time and within tight budget parameters'. Each project being an average of US$400k up to a US$4 million modification to contract package. Total yearly budget managed in excess of US$15 million. Provide Technical advice for the company 'New Build Program', accepting delivery of two 5000hp-tractor tugs from Singapore. Reporting to the Technical Director.

Previously involved in projects with Rebuild packages to full Classification Society specification of a 30 metre line-handling tug and two 100-passenger 'Swiftships' crewboats (total package in the region of $3.5 million). Overseeing vessel delivery & onhire to contract site in Nigeria. Undertook tours of duty in West Africa as Engineering Superintendent with full engineering responsibilities for all Lamnalco vessels in the region. Design & retrofit installation of full DP system, and Fi-Fi(1) on a company AHTS supply vessel working in Singapore waters. Full Project Management for upgrading/refurbishment package of a 60 metre SPM Maintenance - Dive Support vessel, budget approx. US$1.5 million. Work carried out in Cameroon. Technical support, survey and maintenance of SPM buoys, Amoco Offshore Hamriya (Sharjah, UAE), and Yemen Hunt Oil, offshore Ras Isa, Yemen.
